Terms & Conditions for Free Tours

Cancellations

We work very hard to ensure that all tours run as scheduled. We will not be held responsible should we be unable to offer a tour due to earthquakes, extreme weather or any other matter out with our control.

Liability & Responsibility

As in all human endeavors, there is a level of risk. We do our best to keep the risk to a minimum. Tokyo Localized assume no liability or responsibility for any injury, loss, damage or inconvenience sustained by any person using its services, nor to their property.

Privacy

Tokyo Localized will never sell your personal information to any third party. We reserve the right to use data given to us for marketing and research purposes.

Terms & Conditions for Paid Tours

Paid Tours

Your booking confirmation will be sent to you automatically by email upon successful completion of your order. If you do not receive this mail for any reason, you are asked to contact us by email: info@tokyolocalized.com, as it may mean that your order has not been successfully processed. Please check your junk or spam folder first.

Children under 15 years old can participate on the tours for free. You need to present a valid photo ID before the start of your tour. If you are unable to prove your age, you may be asked to pay the regular price.

Your tour price includes your guide fee. Others such as transportation costs, food, beverages and so on are not included.

Booking Amendments

If you want to reschedule your tour, please contact us by email: info@tokyolocalized.com with your booking name, the name of the tour and the new date to join the tour. Any amendment you wish to make to your booking must be requested at least 72 hours before the tour departure time. We are not able to accept any booking amendments within 72 hours before the tour departure time.

Cancellations

Our Fault

We work very hard to ensure that all tours run as scheduled. When a tour cancels and it is our fault, we will refund the full price.

Your Request

If you are not be able to attend your tour and need to cancel the booking, please let us know at least 72 hours before the tour departure time. Please contact us at info@tokyolocalized.com with your booking name, the name of the tour. We will cancel your booking and refund the full price.

If you let us know your cancellation 24-72 hours before the tour departure time, we will cancel your booking and refund the half price.

If you don’t show up or you cancel the tour within 24 hours before the departure time, we will not refund you.

Others (Natural disasters and Interruption of transportation system)

Should we be unable to offer a tour due to natural disasters (such as earthquakes, tsunami, typhoons, heavy rains, extreme weather and so on), we will let you know by e-mail as soon as possible and refund the full price.

 

Should we be unable to offer a tour due to interruption of transportation system (such as suspension of a train and cancelation of a flight), we will refund the full price.

 

Similarly, should you be unable to arrive at a meeting point on time due to interruption of transportation system. Please let us know by e-mail with a picture or screen shot that you can prove it as soon as possible, we will refund the full price.

Late Policy

Your tour guide is booked specifically for the length of time mentioned on the service description and we don’t want to waste of time of other guests who arrive at a meeting point on time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will be considered as a “no-show” and your booking will be canceled without a refund.

Terms & Conditions for Virtual Tours

Furoshiki Online Workshop

Your booking confirmation will be sent to you automatically by email upon successful completion of your order. If you do not receive this mail for any reason, you are asked to contact us by email: , as it may mean that your order has not been successfully processed. Please check your junk or spam folder first.

You can choose your favorite Furoshiki cloths and rings from the list which Tokyo localized offers. Other items cannot be sent with Furoshiki. Furoshiki will be sent to one place and will be delivered by Registered Non-standard-size international mail or Express mail service. Other delivery services are not available.

 

It takes about 3- 14 days until your Furoshiki arrive. We are not able to guarantee the arrival date. The workshop will be held by Zoom. Participants need to have all equipment to join the web meeting. Participants have 1 connection per 1 Furoshiki. The workshop basic set fee includes 2 Furoshiki cloths, 1 pair of rings and instruction fee. Shipping fee is also charged at actual cost.

Booking Amendments

Cancellations

Our Fault

We work very hard to ensure that all workshops run as scheduled. When a workshop cancels and it is our fault, we will refund the price excluding the Furoshiki and ring, and shipping cost.

Your Request

If you need to cancel the booking, please let us know. Please contact us at  with your booking name, the name of the workshop. If you let us know your cancellation before we purchase your Furoshiki, we will cancel your booking and refund full. If you let us know your cancellation before we ship your parcel, we will cancel your booking and refund the shipping fee and the half of the basic fee.

 

If you let us know your cancellation after we ship your parcel, we will cancel your booking and refund the half of the basic fee. If you don’t show up or you cancel the workshop within 48 hours before the start time of the workshop, we will not refund you.

Others (Natural disasters, Interruption of delivery system, and Closure of the shop)

Should we be unable to offer a workshop due to natural disasters (such as earthquakes, tsunami, typhoons, heavy rains, extreme weather and so on), we will let you know by e-mail as soon as possible and refund the full price. Should we be unable to send you the Furoshiki cloths due to interruption of delivery system (such as suspension of delivery and cancelation of a flight) or closure of the shop, we will refund the full price.
